5 Minute Freewrite: Brooklyn Zoo
Early Morning walks & shakes packed green apple
is how I start off the day, strange echoes of the Brooklyn Zoo
and the density of the city on top of you,
and I'm from the city of the angels, but the city that doesn't sleep
it's a whole different beast, the spring break of ELAC
flight to Boston to kick it with my sister
got drunk in Harvard Square, rode the tube
in a circle around the city, then took the bus hungover to NYC
stayed with my cousin, went to Brooklyn, and digging thru vinyl
I had to get Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version
in the Brooklyn Zoo R.I.P. O.D.B
a blizzard delay one flight one night
the Gods smiled upon me,
got to my cousin's play & still the most bizarre thing
I have ever experience in my life, had drinks
with the cast and talked about waking life
and psychedelics and the nature of the logos
and reality, naturally
Finally, the Sun is seeking the day
as the ashes of the last bowl flow
and dance with the morning wind
and so this is how this day begins
