But recently, the military-led government shocked the world by announcing plans to legalise medical marijuana, or cannabis.
Supporters promise a plant that could alleviate poverty and even cure cancer.

especially since they have such a huge meth problem there. Maybe cannabis can help with that.

Yes its coming. I did a piece on this as well. They've legalized medical usage and everything but the thc (buds) parts of the plants. Now there are loads of cannabis cafes with food and drinks using cannabis as an ingredient. I reckon legalizing the best parts of the plant aren't far away :)
