Topped the Rise of Orange Barb, Week 5 + Pink Apricot Blooms
Orange Barb has been topped after five weeks of growth, she'll be put into bloom mode soon. The three week in bloom Pink Apricot is stretching up and filling in with buds, the male Pink Apricot is about to release pollen.
Orange Barb
This Feminized Orange Barb cannabis plant has had 5 Weeks of vegetation growth. The Orange Barb strain was created with the crossing of the Barbara Bud and Tangie strains - it has a higher than average yield, and grows tall, tapping into it's sativa genetics. The plant is growing decently bushy, I've recently topped the plant to keep it's low profile.

You can see that after week 2 the roots had fully established, the plant growth became rapid. By almost week 5, Orange Barb has grown very bushy, with many lower branches.

Orange Barb Topping
You can see below where there are branches starting to grow out of each side of the main stalk, near the top, just above where the leaf stem meets the main stalk - I'm going to cut the main stalk just above the new branches cutting the top off the plant.

This is topping the plant, I also removed two large fan leaves to make room for the upwards growing lower branches. Now instead of one top, each branch will grow up as a new one, so there will be two tops - seen below.
Back under the lights for more branch upward growth.

A day and a half after topping, the branches continue to raise up.
Orange Barb is filling in nicely, I'll put this plant into bloom mode soon.
Pink Apricot Male
The hydroponic Pink Apricot male cannabis plant is on Week 2 of bloom mode. Male cannabis plants do not produce smokable buds, only pollen, for seed making. I'm growing this male for a few more days, just long enough to collect some pollen.

The male Pink Apricot flowers are getting very close to opening, the pollen will be collected and stored in the freezer. The pollen will be used later, for pollinating a couple buds of the Orange Barb and the female Pink Apricot - to create new seeds.
Week 2
I moved this male to a separate tent in the basement, for isolation - the flowers will be opening very soon to release pollen, I only want one bud to have seeds. Any pistil that happens to come in contact with pollen will become a seed.
Pink Apricot female budding
This female Pink Apricot is on Week 3 of bloom mode, there's about five more weeks until harvest.
Week 3
It gets warm in the tent, I have the exhaust fan on full blast to maintain around 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Thirsty plant gets 4 liters of water per day. The plant stretches upwards in bloom, similar to lettuce bolting.

After one week of the red spectrum light bloom mode being on for 12 hours a day, pistils started to appear where the leaf stem meets the stalk - showing the plant to be female, destined to produce buds. After another week of the red spectrum lighting to help trigger bloom, I switched to the higher power purple spectrum for bud growth.

After the second week of the plant being in bloom mode, you can see it abruptly shooting upwards in height.

You can see the translucent pistils appearing on all the branches, where the leaf stems meet the main stalks - home grown buds on the way :)
Looking phenomenal man. The Orange Barb has a nice stout structure with a nice compactness and overall looks appealing to grow.
The Pink Apricot has some serious thick stems and seems to have a unique structure to it. I bet that will grow some monster buds.
And it looks like you got some nice pollen sacks to perform a little seeding :D
Thanks man, lots going on in the tents :) the machine is up and running, in a little more than a month it should start pushing out some buds :D
Loving the thickness of the stalks!

Hopefully getting ready to hold some weight :D

A very lush and green garden. The pink apricot drinks a lot more water than my outdoor ones but is beautiful.

Thanks, my plant might loose extra moisture from the constant breeze the exhaust fan creates, I'll probably start using larger containers too :)
bro those plants looks so good, its like a jungle of cannabis growing inside your house.
Thanks, both the plants seem to have hit their stride the past couple weeks. The indoor grows give me that warm taste of summer in the winter :)
That Orange Barb is extremely bushy!! Looking good bro!
Thanks man, this is definitely one of the bushiest plants I've grown, the lower branches are the most aggressive I've seen.. the seed pack says it grows tall, I'll have to wait and see it in bloom :)
