More Thoughts On Promotion

The Best looking BM Superstar

image.png

What's up Weed Nerds! Hope the weekend treated you all well. I actually got to get off work early on Saturday, and took my son to see the new Spiderman Movie for his 4 year birthday. It was a decent movie, but as far as the best Marvel Movie? IMO not even close, but this is coming from someone who maybe has seen half of them. It was good, as all of them always are, but I would say the Thor movies where better. Anyways, back to the reason why I am here today. I am here to give a brief update on my indoor cannabis crop, and also to ask what happened to everyone? It's been a little bit of a ghost town around here. I am also a bit lost on how many more day's until 4/20? Hopefully we can turn this around. Still lots of great things happening. We all know about the new front end, and NFT Market. There is also a cool project being worked on by community member @skylinebuds to burn Weed. Something that I think would not be hard to support by everyone. Every bit of Weed delegated helps.

My 2 Gallon Challenge

The way back machine

So last week I posted about the ongoing Big Mack project, which was actually a fun thing for me to do, and also something that got me even more excited about Hive, and got me thinking of other ways we can promote. All the pictures where from old posts. It is so cool to have the ability to store information, and access it any time in the future. Sure you can do this with Storage on a computer, but that has it's limits. Maybe the Cloud? Again that also has it's limits. With Hive I am able to store an unlimited amount of Data, and access it for review just by scrolling back. As long as the Witnesses are running nodes, that info will be there, and I do not think that will ever happen anytime soon.

A Miracle Mack getting her fade on

image.png

Think outside the box

So what am I trying to get at? Hive is not just a Social Media Network where we post, and hope to get comments, and up votes. So when people come here, and expect those things, then leave because they can find that on Instagram, or Facebook, they are not looking beyond that. Especially when we only have 10-15 active members! No. Hive is a great tool that can be used as a depository of information.

A not so great BM Superstar

image.png

Never going to stop

Now don't get me wrong, I love Hive, and love interacting, and will always encourage it. But Hive can also be useful, for instance breeders. Not to long ago, the @bifbeans Discord got deleted by the Discord Corporation for violated there guidelines. Not entirely sure, but I do know illegal drug use is on of them, and we all know they lump cannabis in there. But I digress, there Discord got delete. Along with thousands of pictures of strains being tested. Megabytes of text on growing. It sucked. But guess who's growers data was not deleted? If you guessed not me, then you are wrong. Since the majority of my testers where Weedcashers, it is still here till this day!

Sharing is caring

Or what about someone who is great at growing, and loves to share their knowledge to the outside world? Usually these guys can be found on Youtube, also on Instagram. But Instagram is great at sharing photos. Not for a detailed grow log, like they can do here. But what about Reddit? Those can be deleted at anytime, and I still say our Markdown is a lot better. They can do Hive write-ups, and share those to people on Youtube. Like hey if you all want to follow up on this info we discussed today, visit my Hive Blog.

La Kush Cake

No Daddy!

Another way Hive could be a great tool, is to not having to make your own Website. I know I have tried to make one, and it can be very difficult. So someone who has a lot to say, and teach can make a Hive account, and do just as much as having a webpage. I have been told that the SEO is great here as well!

A MM Sensimillia flower half way through bloom phase

image.png

As high as the sky!

Basically what I am saying, the possibilities are endless, and I am trying to put some ideas in your head on ways we can promote this place. Imagine if someone like Chris Trump started to incorporate Hive posts on his site. Or even to have his students use Hive for there assignments(@dynamicgreentk that's a nod to you;)). Or other cannabis growers with a loyal following. Hive is a small community, and sometimes it seems nobody is viewing your posts. But at this early stage, it takes work beyond just posting, and sitting back. Crossing your fingers someone will come by your blog(even though this is a weak spot of the community not doing). No. It's up to you to invite more people over here. It is up to you to go outside of the Chain, and promote. Use Hive as your Canvas to share with the world. If more did this, then there would be more people here. Sure the learning curve is a bit high, but so are the rewards.

Not the greatest grow, but maybe the most colorfullest I have had to date:)

image.png

To be continued...

This is one of many goals I hope to push further this year. Recruiting more, and more with small but loyal followings, and also have an active social media presence. Watch out for a @canna-curate post on my further thoughts on this subject. Thanks for taking the time to read, and have a blessed week!

I know we have the ihiphoptv guys wanting to get involved. We need some really cool weed art NFTs or a good collectible series to promote as well. I think that would be a fun way to go.

I am going to be working up some things that if anyone is interested can start to print up and put out at shops and such. I still think that is going to be a great way to outreach, just got to get these stoners up and motivated, lol.

I appreciate @skylinebuds for his efforts as well as anyone else trying to promote our little stoner community.

It's very hard to get people to post or comment about weed here! After 4+ years of nonstop effort, we're still very small. I give away seeds, I upvote ($1 and up) anyone who comments, I pump out high end photography and videos, grow info, activism reports, research, etc. I get into things like the bucket challenge (but mine was a male), I comment on other people's posts, I've brought people to the chain (although most of them end up leaving). I had a team of pretty girls posting sexy photos and videos of themselves growing and smoking weed, almost nobody voted or commented. I provide a lot of value and ask nothing in return... but still have very few followers! So yeah it's hard to get people excited about this, for some reason. You would think cannabis and blockchain go so well together, we should be swarming with activity!

Saw your reply here and knew I should be following you and especially after seeing your posts on using the grow tent for food as well as weed which is what I am planning to do as well.
Thanks for spreading the word about this magical plant.

All things you said is very true. I agree with you about high value content. Message me on discord. I’ll point you in right direction.

I have always thought that we need to become a weed reference library type of thing and even a crypto version of something like weedmaps. The problem is that it will take leg work and getting out and actually talking with people and doing it for the love of the community and being apart of something bigger than just yourself. Facebook and Instagram are not our answers here. We need to get dispensaries in legal states involved as much as possible too.

It can’t be all about just making a post to get a reward. It has to be more than that.

Definitely need more working together if we are to do something like this.

I still say approaching people with small but loyal following with swag would be beneficial, also more realistic then getting snoop here, lol But getting materials in stores would be cool too. Interested to see what material you have for people to print to bring to the shops. It's been awhile since I've gone, but I know a few people who have close relationships with these places.

I have always liked the idea of getting places to join but the problem is the lack of reason to join or post. Most are posting for the 1 person they may have or likely not in their area.

Getting flyers into the people buying yes, That is what we need people doing reviews.

We need is seed companies and breeders, Light companies and nutrient companies but that won't happen till we get numbers.

I am sorry I think instagram Facebook YouTube, weedtube, grow diaries, are 100% the people we need on Weedcash. They are the ones already posting content for NOTHING but a chance to get a sponsorship or cause they like to mostly because they want to. Not cause they are rewarded.

Things like Snoop Dogg DOA is a joke, total joke, Set up a for way more reason than that. I think this place could be HUGE with More effort put in by people in charge.

Well my thoughts 🤣🤣

That actual puts a great thought into my head, material in the shops for consumers to post about there product they bought, and experience at the local club. Or vice versus, have the club sign up, then people can post there experiences for points. Etc. ETC. Defiantly will be a hard sale, one I think a few can pull off here. But yeah numbers are key.

We need people out there on instagram and facebook putting in the work. It shouldn't always be up to the 3 people that are in charge, as we have had this discussion before. Problem is only a few of us have been trying to do it with the rest of the community just wanting to leech rewards and not help promote. It's kind of a pain after a while and you lose motivation.

Really nobody should be 'in charge' if this is a decentralized platform. That was the big push in at least 3 people having the keys. Everyone that holds stake in Weedcash is an owner and should want the community to succeed. Weedcash isn't paying my bills like my other projects are beginning to so I can only afford to put so much effort into it like anyone else. @richardcrill has put in a ton of money and I have put in allot of work on the site and the store to get thing where we are now, and @jonyoudyer is the lone wolf out there trying to scream out name. So what else do you want from us?

I have tried to build community engagement with no avail, but will not stop doing what I am doing. We need more people to quit worrying about earning on their own posts and engage with other members of the community.

I agree the whole Snoop focus is NOT where we need to be looking right now. We need to build the community up more, but again, it is going to take everyone's help.

Flyers are a great way to go, at least putting them into shops will get it in front of some eyes. But instagram and facebook are going to take a bunch of manual posting that I do not have the time or desire for because I hate both platforms and only use them for post dumping and marketing other projects that they will accept. Anytime I post there I get nothing but bots engaging if I get any at all.

If we can get into shops and such and talk to them about giving some free advertising by basically making a great post about their shop for letting us put some print out there and have a sign or stickers or something in the shop, that would be cool, but again, it will take effort from everyone. People can have some flyers printed up fairly cheaply and if you post really good posts, you can pay yourself back through the rewards at some point. That's one way to look at it. That way you are helping the community grow. Just speaking in generalities, but it's a way to go.

Grow companies and suppliers are cool and all and I would love to be able to put some things in the shop, but not everyone is a grower either, so unless it is dropshipping, I cannot afford to buy a bunch of stuff to sit on for the store. If we can find partners that will dropship, that's another ball game.

I don't know... we have issues that is going to take more than just one or two people to solve...

Very well put. I agree we are all owners. It is not up to one person. I am happy to see us out here discussing this! I do say now @richardcrill built this place with his $$, it is totally up to the rest of us.

Flyers would be awesome, and I’m always willing to go forward with someone’s vision, while also trying other things, or continuing doing stuff. Yada yada yada lol.

Also what exactly is dropshippin?

I look to be more involved on the chains between weedcash and hive. I have started by challenging myself to engage at least 5-10 comments a day. I have also been powering up all across the board. I am saying this not to virtue signal, but to show that I am 100percent behind getting the community engaged once again.
GREAT WEED as always Master Gower Jon!!

This is my opinion as a new member of the community. First of all, thank you. Thank you to all the people who created Weedcash and thank you for keeping it up to this day. Keep in mind that cannabis is still illegal in most countries in the world, including mine. Publishing content is risky. I personally have tried to bring people from the association I belong to Weedcash. I have not been successful. They are guarded and don't want to take risks. I don't know if there is any other community in Hive that faces this serious problem to grow, but that is our reality today.

What is really important is what you have achieved, a solid community and one of the most veteran ones in HIVE with its own token. What is not growing as we would like? No need to stress, after all, if I'm not mistaken the community has grown, hasn't it? Cannabis is not growing as fast as we would like, we know that, it is growing at its own pace and Weedcash seems to be growing too. It will grow as more countries and states decriminalize or legalize cannabis and as the social stigmatization of being a cannabis user disappears.

Long live Weedcash¡¡¡¡

It is a pleasure to share content of what I love to do and receive rewards for doing it. I want more people to join. The day I get someone to open an account in Weedcash I will celebrate. For the time being we will keep trying.
