Day 8 - Big Mack Superstar And Lemon Drip

avatar
(Edited)

Hello Everyone,

It's been just over a week since germinating the Big Mack Superstar's and Lemon Drip cannabis seeds.

I started with three seeds of each strain, and ended up with two Big Mack Superstar and one Lemon Drip successfully germinated, and the other three seeds have still not popped and are likely not going to at this point.

Let's have a look at how the seedlings are doing!

In the back of the tent I have store bought green onions that I've been re-growing for a few months and haven't had to buy green onions since obtaining this nice Phlizon LED light.

The green onions will be removed from the tent as soon as the cannabis plants demand the space, and will be grown from sunlight and lower powered LED's during the summer months.

Lemon Drip

The Lemon Drip is the slowest growing of the three seedlings, and looks like it is not a very strong seedling, but the health is vibrant, and I have little doubt that this will be a very pretty and healthy plant.

The Big Mack Superstar's are ultra healthy with a very lush green coloration occurring immediately. There is no doubt that these BMS's are very healthy seedlings, and they are growing very quickly.

That's it for today's cannabis update.

What do you gentlemen and ladies think of the Big Mack Superstar's and Lemon Drip seedlings?

I would love to read your thoughts below!

Your time is a valuable commodity, and I always keep this in mind and do my best to respond to everyone. I very much appreciate all of the amazing engagement and support. Thank you, have a great day! -@futuremind

They look really good to me!!! So do those onions. How did you do that again? I know you posted about it before, maybe just put a link to the post here?

Thank you kindly my friend!

It's really easy (I don't think I've ever posted the process.)

The bundles of green onions at the grocery store, I just cut them down to the white, leaving a little green, and then stick the root ends in soil. Done!

It's important to note that the roots are usually cut down, and I'm sure farmers would suggest this is for easier packaging, but I suspect it's to make re-growing them harder. (It's a profit based industry after all, and depends on you coming back for more!)

It's a good idea to give the short roots a soak in water for 24 hours prior to planting in soil.

They will take right off after that, and grow just fine in pots like this with natural sun or some decent LED lights :)

I will perform the process again and will make a post outlining how I do it in the future!

Thanks for the kind words and support @owasco!

What part do you eat though? Do they make more bulbs? I think you did include this in a post of yours a while back.

I eat the green parts and the bulbs stay in the dirt.

The bulbs never get eaten by me and I wonder if they continue to increase in size (probably so) while in the dirt, and I place them very close together which may not be good.

I looked back in the posts and couldn't seem to find any posts where I conducted an in depth explanation of the process with photos. (I talked about it in some posts but only briefly) Maybe I did somewhere but just can't seem to remember with my stoner memory and can't seem to find it if it's there.

I'll definitely make a post explaining the process next time I do it, which might be soon because this batch is starting to look a little weak.. So I might start over with some fresh onions.

I am going to do that now, too. Very good idea. I forgot about it the last time we talked about prolonging the lives of vegetables (I think it was also about carrots).

Thank you for the kind words my friend. I remember our chat about the green onions and carrots and have been eating the carrots regularly ever since!

Let me know how it works out for you with the onions. Mine are not looking very vibrant lately, I might have to start a new batch lol.

We are not in town but at my brothers. The garden needed some maintenance and we planted some flowers and herbs. We will get back in May to my aunts birthday. She will turn 90.
So no onions and carrots.
Good luck with starting a new batch :))

I appreciate that. I'm definitely dropping a bunch more and stuff. I'm definitely trying to get into growing or at least acquiring the knowledge to do so more effectively.

You're from New York, how are you dealing with the crypto laws that limit how you can gain crypto?

I currently don't know a whole lot about the crypto laws here and most likely do not agree with any of them.

I was locked out of Binance after 3 years of use for KYC purposes, now I just use DEX's.

I'll pay taxes on crypto if I'm forced to, but otherwise feel there should be no regulation at all on crypto.

I don't need a 3rd party centralized bank to manage my funds for me, and I don't agree with legislators saying I should have to comply with their demands.

Crypto was designed to give us freedom, not for the powers that should not be to try to manipulate and control it.

End of rant.. :)

Yeah. There's some kind of law against earing or staking crypto on centralized platforms. I'm not exactly sure how it works. I would do as you do without the need of the middle man.

Thank you , the BMS's are doing great, but the Lemon Drip is suddenly not growing and looking unhealthy :/ Hopefully it bounces back.

I need to germinate some more.

Have a great day!

All these plants look so green, suddenly I have the feeling of "new hope". Frankly, I can't imagine the taste anymore, may be it's just way too long since my last happy puff, or may be the flu had taken away my sense of taste, probably changed of profile where lemon taste like salt, and KFC smells like watermelon.

Thanks brother,

may be it's just way too long since my last happy puff

Everyone should have a happy puff once in a while at least.. that's my opinion anyway..

Sometimes smoking weed reduces flu like symptoms and helps with sleep too. Sometimes I sleep too much from smoking weed, but I would rather sleep too much than not enough. Both probably have negative mental health effects, so we just have to find the perfect happy puff balance.

If you smoke some weed and then eat KFC, it's probably going to taste like KFC again, or you will be so high that you won't care either way.

The green onions in the back look like they have entered into beast mode. So healthy looking. Such a good idea to regrow them.
