Hello Everyone,

Today I'm sharing some photographs of the cannabis plants.

Currently they are in vegetative state and are looking very healthy to me.

I have five plants in total for the next set of flowering plants, sex unknown.

The sex is important because female plants produce the desired bud.

My hope is to get at least two or three females.

For this grow more than three would not be optimal, beacuse the light dissapation will not be wide enough for more than two or three.

I am undecided still how long I will wait to commence flowering.

I think tomorrow they may go back up on the table, and the following day I will flip the lights.

I cannot wait too much longer.

What do you all think of how these plants are looking?

I would love to read your thoughts in the comment section!

Thank you for stopping by,

Have a great day! @futuremind

I saw presex on one of those girls already but already forgot which plant it was 😅

I'm surprised that big tent can only hold three mature plants. Is that because of all the other stuff you grow in there? I really want to get into this, not for growing pot (I don't have your patience), but for producing food in the dead of winter.

It all looks good to me!

Thank you @owasco!

The reason is a simple one.
The amount of light power I have.

IMG_20230220_124342924.jpg

These light panels are centered in the tent.

And flared a little on the ends. (my own personal touch)

This tent could fit 2 of these lights side by side.

The canopy of the plants widens from base, meaning the tops of the plants will disperse a wider berth than what their pots take up for space.

Comprehending these aspects, I can pretty accurately project how many plants I can grow efficiently.

If I had another one of these lights, I could easily grow 5 large females in there, maybe more.

The tent is so huge, I also wonder how you have enough room in your apartment for it. Are you happy with your new(ish) place?

I live in an old Victorian brick house that was converted into a 4 apartment subsidized housing in the dregs of the city.

It's a huge one bedroom, and even has a functional fireplace.

The apartment itself is amazing.

The neighbors and general neighborhood is another story entirely but not the worst I guess, and the apartment management pretty much fixes nothing and the place is not in great shape at all.

I do love the apartment itself, everything else could be a little better lol.

They are looking very fresh, you care caring them as your babies ;) How you determine the Sex of the plant ?

Thank you @itwithsm!
Once the light schedule is changed to 12/12 on/off hours, it triggers the hormonal response in the plant that makes it think seasons are changing, and will begin flowering.

If little sacks show, this is male pollen sacks that will burst when mature.

If white wispy hairs show, this is pistils, female indicator. Shortly after it will start producing buds.

If the males are not removed, they will pollenate, creating seeds, and also will lower the potency of the bud.

I know that if the leaves turn dark green, your plants may be suffering from too much nitrogen. If the leaves of the plants have brightened or turned yellow, this indicates a nitrogen deficiency. But your plants look great, I think they are healthy, everything is fine.

Thank you kindly @magnata!

Thank you for your analysis, I think they may have been slightly deficient but last night I fed them a very light Cal-Mag feeding, and today they really look fantastic.

Some of the lower foliage was showing this possible deficiency earlier in the grow, but I wasn't sure if it was from too much of something or not enough. I had not fed them for the past couple of weeks until last night, and they had begun stabilizing their color with no feed.

It's also previously used soil that I fed nutrients to, so maybe some residual was still in there.

I appreciate your nice comment!

wow very nice tree and it is very dangerous if it is planted in my country, it could be in prison

Thank you!
It is still illegal in parts of the country I live in too. It is legal in New York, but there are restrictions to how much you can grow.

I don't know how you feel about it, but maybe you think it's not right for nature to be illegal?

I think it is strange how it is ok for pharmaceutical companies to use plants like opium, to create medicines which are extremely addictive and also lethal.

Things will change, but only if people are willing to break unlawful laws, the more lawbreakers, the harder it will be to sustain the law, and the system will have no choice but to legalize.

It looks as if you have also cleaned the plants. Waiting to see how they explode with bloom.

In a way I have cleaned them, because thrips were showing up.
I am spraying with some insecticide, Captain Jack's.
It's working good, and the foliage looks clean :)

Thank you as always my friend :)

Your doing a great job, and I am so happy to see that light treating you well. How's the life jacket treating you;)? LOL!

Dude... 🤣
The life jacket is still in the box, with all the packaging.
Lazy stoner here, I just throw things I'm not using where they are not in the way.
You bet I will use that thing one day eventually 😂
Maybe for packaging... 🤣

All these plants looks so beautiful. They look a lot nicer today than when you washed them yesterday and the green they read is a sign that their growth are doing much better.

Thanks man, luckily I have solid clones from all of them, so it's going to become very exciting when I'm running straight females :D

Is there no other way to determine if the plant is female before it reaches a certain size? They do look healthy! I think you might need a bigger light so you can have more than 3 😎. Does the tent heat up with the light, seeing as the walls are a bit reflective?

Good question @misshugo.
Actually yes it is possible to tell before flowering, but not always.

The plants will show "pre-sex" sometimes.
This is when very tiny indicators of pollen sacks, (male) or a few (female) white hairy looking pistils shoot out.

A presex indicator is usually a very reliable indicator.
Sometimes hermaphrodites can happen, but that's another topic.. usually induced by stress or genetic issues.

I saw some female presex signs on one of them already but lost track of what plant it was. I know I have at least one in there, but there will probably be 2 or 3.

@liketu has an active development team and they work towards making improvements like every other platform on the Hive blockchain.
I see nothing wrong with supporting platforms which may appeal to a larger variety of people in the future, even if they are not preferred for other transactions on the blockchain.
They curate fairly and reward their user base too.
I think those are good reasons.

I guess we have no thoughts on the content of this post, but I very much appreciate the upvote and reblog my friend. Have a good night.

None taken Jerry,
I know things are tough and we all have our moments, I'm no stranger to that my friend.

I hope you are feeling well this morning and your day is off to a good start, and also hope Tom is well and you two are getting along today.

Thank you for the compliment, I'm trying my best to keep the plants healthy while heating my home with a stovetop. Long story there, poor apartment management basically..

Has he tried to love up to you since then?

(Edited)

It is very sore.
We had a time last evening, I called to Him for His supper, He wouldn't come in (He acts like there is another cat hiding in my bedroom)
I had His special evening meal, yet He kept walking away, all the way to the back fence whereupon I threw sticks at Him and cursed Him. Then I locked the pet door.
Later, He was outside and I relented and unlocked it, but since I was right there, I just opened the door and let him in.
After much scardy cat sneaking around, going out then back in, He hopped up on my bed, allowed me some scratch time then stayed with me all night.
Today seems to be all normal
