This ladder has been set on this wall for 2 weeks, there is a moment that I know the vines will start merging with the ladder, I have to at least trim what I can, knowing that there is no way I am going to cut everything at the very top, it's just not worth it 😁.

Feeling like Edward Cissor's hand, it was hard to have an overview, sometimes coming down the ladder to check if the giant moustache for the house is equal on each side.

Trimmy trim...

Then, because of the abundance of potatoes, there is a chance that you will find some spuds lying on the ground. I can tell you that once we have finished our boxes of potatoes, we will come back to you dear spud.

I've grown fond of the chicken, since we got them 6 months ago. but cleaning the coop is just something that I've been avoiding for quite some days now.

They don't complain too much but, they still find other spots to lay their eggs than inside the coop, I would like to train them as much as I can, this one here is super chilled around me.

That's Ninja's personal area, where she spent most of her convalescence after being beaten up by the rooster.

She is currently hurt again, and I need to restart the whole healing process. The Rooster will have to be "taken care of" if you catch my drift. 🙃

I think it's important to open each high definition pictures, to see the textures of the chicken drops.
It actually doesn't look that bad, just a little bit of cleaning should be fine.

You see I have that whole ingenious system, where the drops fall on this big logs, I just have to collect the logs, and then................fuck................What am I doing?

It's midnight and I am explaining my chicken poop system? Is there even one person remotely interested in this?

Alright, let me see how many words I've been writing: 382

It's ok, it's not crazy neither, but you don't want to push people away with too many words. Keep it simple, maybe show some close ups:

20211004_141917.jpg

Now, let me show you the cleaning part, I am gonna make it very satisfying, nice and fluid, like if I was the flash:

Hnet-image (18).gif

First step: Clean the poop out

Another very cool fact, I use to use hay, now I use wooden shaving for the floor. It doesn't smell that much. Before starting filming, I was cleaning also the dog poops barefoot, and I stepped on 3 different types of poop, with 3 different colours, consistency, and shape.
It's a real pity I didn't film it...

Hnet.com-image (6).gif

The way everything is set up, makes it easy to dismantle, and clean. I didn't want anything fancy, they already so much space.

Hnet-image (20).gif

For now, we've seen a lot of my butt, I propose that we see a little bit more of it, but from a different angle. 😁

This is the end of the tomato season, it's time to wrap up everything, grab the last 2 butternuts, and get ready for Dark Winter. "What are you rambling about Ed" you may ask?
Well, this summer, was held a simulation event called Cyber Polygon, a cybersecurity where "participants will hone their practical skills in mitigating a targeted supply chain attack on a corporate ecosystem in real time", and figure out what to do if for example a massive hacking was shutting down the power grid worldwide, sending us into the dark ages...
"Why are you trying to scare me Ed, I though this was about poop"? Well my friend, shit comes in many forms, and once it hits the fan, you better close your mouth.

Hnet-image (21).gif

That's it for today! Thanks for reading, I hope that you got something out of this post, don't forget to...Hold on, I see something moving under that tarp:

AAAAh! More potatoes!!!!

Truth is, I am always barefoot, there is a saying, it brings luck apparently if you step in it with the left foot.

Oh lala, dear friend, you have a beautiful farm, it is very big, I imagine you are always busy, but the results look very good, I love your publication, it looks very lively and has a lot of beautiful natural energy. I send you a lot of encouragement and strength to work.
Good vibes.

Thinking about that aspect can get you more trouble than good. Best to not entertain such thoughts! haha

Good job! Have you missed load shedding at all? Dare I ask about MJ?

Have you missed load shedding at all?

Funny you're mentioning it, with all the COVID stuffs and the police state, and the madness, we were thinking, or at least entertaining the idea, of "what if" , and load shedding was the first one on the list haha. Do I still have the patience? Have I gone soft? Would I be a target freshly out of the airport 😁 with a canon around my neck?

Dare I ask about MJ?

Who dat? 😂

I don't have the will to kill, because I don't have the need. I do have a friend that offered to process it so that's cool, I am still looking for a good replacement. I think it's important to take a breed that has the right caring attributes, and is a reproductive breed.

Barenecks are just ugly, and mean, a bit useless, stupid at best. Thanks for asking though ahaha...

Wisteria is it? Such a beautiful plant. It's a shame it is so much work to contain.

Potatoes up the wazoo!!!

Shit does come in many forms indeed. We are all buried in it right now. And it will get much worse before it gets better.

Wow, you know your stuff! It reminded me of bougainvilleas when I arrived, except it isn't full of thorns, so that's a plus!

Potatoes up the wazoo!!!

haha I am ashamed, I don't know where to hide them anymore!

And it will get much worse before it gets better.

I don't know if the fact that the smell don't bother me anymore, is a good thing...😁

It's a good thing. Even when we fight the smell, we feed it. Our task is to show others there are many ways to live, other than in abject fear of something that is invisible. Once I realized that, I started to find the whole thing amusing. I have my rage at the ready though, for the day they knock on my door. I am lucky I don't have a job or young children to worry about, although my youngest is supporting the smell. Thankfully, she's not bullying me, as so many other young people have done, to comply. Hopefully my complete lack of fear of getting sick, and my refusal to change my way of relating to other humans will rub off on her. The other two think as I do. We've got this!!

Oh my goodness, the last reveal - I was on the edge of my seat, only to find - more potatoes! Vastly entertaining. Instagram and Facebook going on down this week had me thinking yet again how much we live on a knife edge - I mean, if you can't take a potato selfie and share it on social media, did it even happen - and goodness - that seemed like the start of the apocalyse for the hundredth time this year BUT AT LEAST WE HAVE OUR GARDENS.

You seem to make even chicken poo entertaining - what an inspiration you are. I've also been using wood shavings as I layer the deep litter, which I clean out in the compost heap about once ever two months. Saves SO much work! And smells sweeter - ours is eucalypts as well.

Hahaha, it's funny, I was talking to a friend that I haven't seen for years, and that rarely post on Instagram, my first reaction was "Oh you're alive", as if his life didn't exist out of the realm of social medias.
Quite...Unsettling come to think of it.

that seemed like the start of the apocalyse for the hundredth time this year BUT AT LEAST WE HAVE OUR GARDENS.

You're damn right! I am still a little worried about gaz, electricity, water. If I can find those, the rest can be sorted out with time and energy.
I haven't even started thinking of planting for this winter, but I should, my friend @dandays sent me pictures of the shops in the US, there doesn't seem to look good at all, it started coming here.

I heard on the radio this morning, that people cannot find vanilla in France, it made me really wondered how much of it is fabricated to drive the price, and crash the economy by December. The perfect storm, this and covid.

You seem to make even chicken poo entertaining - what an inspiration you are

I guess this is the best compliment you could give, I don't think I worked harder than when editing the poop cleaning gifs! I see that you are now well versed in the gif art!

ours is eucalypts as well.

Do you mean that you have eucalyptus wood shavings for your chicken? Can it be fancier for them? Maybe Aloe Vera Wood Shaving ? 😁

It keeps getting worse. Kellogg's and Lays went on strike today—employees refuse vaccine. The radio said "if you didn't stock up on cereal and chips, it's too late."

They're huge companies is all I'm saying cuz it's probably not P/C if I said one thing this part of the country could use is a lot less Kellogg's and Lays.

Shelves are emptier and emptier, doesn't matter what market you go to. Thing is nobody's panic buying. That's just how much the US relies on China.

That is indeed risky, falling from that height can cause you serious injury if you landed awkwardly. Keep safe.
