Reclining Buddha cannabis flower buds

avatar

Please enjoy these photographs of my Reclining Buddha female cannabis plants. They're 24 days into flowering light cycle (12 hours of darkness), and 3 months since germination.

Macro shot:

I have 3 adult females in my little indoor medicine patch.

Macro shot:

Each plant has 5 buds taking shape.

Trichomes and pistils are looking good.

Thanks for checking out this photo update!

I'm still fending off an attack of thrips, but confident I will produce beautiful flowers full of cannabinoid medicine.

Grow in peace.

Ahh yes, the middle of summer, flowers are forming and plants are soaking up nutrients and light. Keep those worm castings flowing! <3

Hi @drutter,In some countries this plant was almost a myth, now they have realized its great potential for healing effects.
Happy start of the week

The plants have perfect leaf health despite bug pressure. The green looks spot on. I bet you got your VPD down solid. Im sure you will fend these pesky thrips off sooner than later.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! I think it may depend in part on the weather outside... forecast is for continued hot and dry conditions. I'll do my best to keep the girls happy, and in theory they'll barely notice the 'bug bites'. They have another 5 or 6 weeks until harvest, at which point I'll give the garden a rest for at least a week, with a couple good cleanings. Clean pots and new soil for the next round. :))

If they persist a treatment or two capt jacks dead bug will do the trick but I only use as a last ditch option since it is a microbial product that i notice causes slight imbalances, that are easily remedied with a good aact or great white etc but also kills pollinators like bees😬. The bees have been gone so I went ahead with it.
Its been years though since I really really grew good buds in cali. Ive been transitioning to the whole soil food web process away from the 20 'organic' bottled method.
This years batch is doing really good but recent heat waves caused lots of bug pressure caused thrips and baby caterpillars to start moving to the girls.
I just treated once and it was enough to stop the attack.

Sounds good, but you may also want to sterilize the walls and fans around the grow area.

That's a textbook pic for when to pollinate a female flower.

Dude, she's barely legal!! :O

Hehe just kidding. You're right, this is the moment of readiness. Look at those puffy pistils looking for pollination!

We should actually put together a "textbook". That's legit a decent idea you just had. And under the entry for "when to pollinate", we'll use this pic/post. We could put together a pretty amazing grow manual using existing (and some new) blockchain posts. The Hive canna grow textbook!
