Delta-10 THC : What you need to know
Can you keep up?
The cannabis world is accelerating at high speeds. It is something that is nearly impossible to keep up with. New information sprouts all of the time and it is up to ourselves to absorb this info.
You may have heard about the recent Delta-8 THC craze. People found out that the popular Delta-9 THC that is federally illegal has some closely related relatives which are legal. In comes another family member, Delta-10 THC. It is difficult to differentiate the difference betweem Detla-8, 9, and 10.
Delta-10 is still a fuzzy topic, there is not a ton of info about it yet. So far we know that it is a cannabinoid that interacts with the CB1 receptor, causing psychoactive affects. Delta-10 bonds to the tenth carbon chain, which is what mainly differentiates it from Delta-9 and 8.
Read this for a deeper scientific explanation as to what Delta-10 THC actually is.
If you have never heard of Delta-10 before, here are a few important things about it that you need to know.
1. How was was Delta-10 THC discovered?
It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly how the discovery was made. During recent wildfires in California, fire retardants were dropped on much of the land. Rumor has it, this affected outdoor grown cannabis in a big way. A new company named Fusion Farms bought a large amount of cannabis that had been altered since it was grown outdoors during this time period. When they made the purchase, they didn't even know it was abnormal. Eventually they discovered that a new type of crystal had began to form and this encouraged Fusion Farms to have lots of testing done. After a lot of uncertain moments, Delta-10 THC was the conclusion. The next step was to find a way to reverse engineer this phenomena that is Delta-10, without using harmful chemicals.
More info about the origins of Delta-10.
2. Is Delta-10 legal?
It is legal in 38 states. Federally it is legal as long as it is produced from hemp instead of marijuana. Although science doesn’t see a difference between the terms hemp and marijuana, the law does. Hemp and marijuana are both cannabis.
More info about the legality of Delta-10.
3. What is the difference between Delta-8, 9, and 10?
It looks like they are more similar than most may initially realize. Only a few real differences have been pointed out so far, mainly the legal aspect. Delta-9 is the typical THC high most have heard of and sometimes brings an anxious feeling with it. Delta-8 is said to be similar, except without the anxiety and more like an indica high. While Delta-10 also takes the anxiety out of the picture, but is more akin to a sative high. There isn't enough research to prove if all of this is exact. One thing is for certain, all three can get you high.
More info about the differences between of Delta-8 and 9.
4. What ways can you use Delta-10?
Gummies, vape cartridges, oil tinctures, capsules, creams and more. You can find Delta-10 in pretty much every form that you are used to finding cannabis available in. There are not that many companies creating Delta-10 products yet. The process is not yet as streamlined as more popular forms of THC since things are still new to canna community. This also means that prices may be higher if demand out paces the production of the Delta-10 proucts.
5. How much Delta-10 do you need?
It depends, your size and experience factor in a lot. You can go for a low, mild, or intense feeling from Delta-10. Someone who is 100 lbs will have a totally different dosage than a person who is 250 lbs. 5mg all the way to 50mg and up could be found to be an enjoyable dose. Remember to start slow and gradually work your way up.

Man. What if I had all three at once? Is that like, Delta-27? Am I going to die?
They say that all three at once may results in being able to interface with Jesus while he’s at the Asian massage parlor with Ling-Poo the noodle wrangler.
Those aren't noodles! Are they?
Udon to be exact. The thickest noodle you ever did see.
I challenge you to turn that into a country song.
It's like floating on a cloud made out of clouds, man.
So what is Delta10? You weren't very clear about that, other than to say it is legal in 38 states, and similar to Delta9. What's interesting about it? Is there anything we need to know about it?
I added a new paragraph to better explain the answer to your question.
Basically it's pretty much the same as Delta-9, except it has a slightly different structure which allows it to be classified as federally legal, thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill. This is similar to the case for Delta-8, except there still needs to be more studies that determine the precise differences between Delta-10, 9, and 8.
I've never been part of the smoking world, nor about cannabis and other such plants but it's always safe and great to keep up with the news. However, I never heard about Delta-10 so I'm happy I managed to learn something new through your post! :)
I used to smoke, but I have stopped doing that. I enjoy finding the best ways to enjoy cannabis and for me that is edibles. Delta-8 & Delta-10 provide the opportunity for someone such as myself who is in the USA to legally option cannabis.
I know there are lots of methods using it legally, and I have no problem with the people consuming it since we all have our own guilty pleasures :)
Something isn't right here?
This reads like an ad for fusionfarms and is in conflict with this article which says delta 10 was invented in the 80s and is not naturally occurring.
My bet is stoned marketers wrote the original press release while laughing high on D10 saying bro a lot and knowing that "those hippies will believe anything"!

I see what you mean about mentioning the company's name, but I have no affiliation with them so it is not meant to be an ad for them. The article you linked is just the Wikipedia page, which doesn't have much other information. I'll remind you that anyone is able to edit those articles, you probably already are aware.
This article ---> https://extractionmagazine.com/2020/03/21/the-bizarre-crystallization-of-%CE%B410-thc/ goes into much more detail about the possible origins of Delta-10. I think that Lupoi (a writer with a Ph.D) for Extraction Magazine is more credible than a flimsy wiki page. Of course even the story in the magazine article cannot be 100% verified to know if that was the first ever discovery. More likely it was just the most recent discover of Delta-10 that came during a time period where there is far more scientists interested in learning more about cannabis.
Companies have been working on ways to recreate Delta-10 since it doesn't seem to want to occur on its own.
With that said, I can't say your opinion on the possibility that stoned hippies circulated this idea of Delta-10 is totally false. No way to know for sure. I am just sharing what I have learned about the topic so far. There definitely needs to be some more clarity on the subject. Hopefully articles like this one will encourage somebody to give us a more concrete answer.
Thank you for the detailed response :)
The wikipedia article references this peer reviewed journal from the 80s which is about delta-2-thc which is also known as delta-10.
Delta-2 is delta-10
I'm pretty sure it was hippies who think they are marketing geniuses... But how can i know absolutely?

Nice one @daltono. I don't know why don't they legalize weed in India and get benefits from its flourishing economy. We should spend some time/money on such researches.
We mostly get Indica and I can bet on my life that it is of the highest quality as compared to any place in the world. It's a heaven for stoners. Hash & Grass are the two types we get to smoke. We have "Bhang" which can be used to create eatables. Don't know what kind of Delta I am rolling up every day. :D
I wish I could tell you why the world doesn't accept cannabis fully yet. I know there will be a day where we look back and wonder how we let our lives be controlled so much, I already think that often.
You’re most likely smoking Delta-9.
Hash and grass I have heard before. Bhang on the other hand is new to me. That's just super fun to say. I love learning new things, so thanks for sharing all the way from India.
You are most welcome @daltano. Thanks to you as well for sharing this info with all of us.
Me Too. Many times I had to throw my stash to ditch the cops. :(
Can you imagine "Bhang" is legal while other forms of cannabis are not? You get it at government-approved shops only. Must try for a cannabis enthusiast like yourself. Search for "Bhang Lassi" on Youtube to see what it is.
Now I want to one day experience what you speak of. I just watched this video on Bhang Lassi:
Haha. It's so yummy and then you are set for thewhole day. Full power! 😁
Absolutely phenomenal work and there are so many different chemicals that we are just barely figuring out what is going on with them.
Next up is the massive amount of research into all of this and figuring out all of the medical and health benefits from us having all of this different knowledge for our usage.
It really is a shame that because of one plant and all of the misconceptions and laws we now have such an uphill battle just be able to use this plant again
For many years I never did take the time to learn about the chemistry of cannabis. It was just so damn confusing to me. These days I'm much more patient and realize that as long as I take it one subject at a time, these things are able to be understood by a non-scientific mind.
Idk about you, but I'm ready to be the guinea pig for this research. I need to order some Delta-10 edibles and compare them to the Delta-8 ones I have and the Delta-9 that I have tried in the past. That will be the best way to get a true understanding.
I also have been told that I'll be trying some Delta-V products soon. I've yet to even look anything up about that yet. There really is so much out there to learn about cannabis.
Yeah man I can get behind the testing too. Oh yeah. Sounds sweet.
Interesting ;)) nice
Hi @daltono , Great Post! Original & Novel. Nice pictures! Thank you!
