CBD Infused Butter
(Edited)
We all heard of cannabutter that makes you highly medicated, but we can also infuse CBD into butter. I like to use it later in coffee, tea, cookies, cakes and sauces.
CBD butter won't get you "high" as it doesn't contain enough THC to do so, but it will feed your cannabinoid system and give you a sense of balance.
Ingredients:
- 100 g of resh CBD flowers (or 20 g of dried flowers)
- 200 g of vegan butter
- 3 dl of water
- First step to this recipe would be decarboxylation which is just a fancy word for heating up your material up to certain degrees in order to activate the medical compounds, which is in this case CBD which decarbs at the temperature between 130- 135 C. As the temperature needs to be accurate we would need to use a cooking thermometer.
Cut or grind flower material. For that you can use scissors, herb grinder or food processor.
Place it on a baking tray and put it in the oven at 130 C for 40 minutes. Watch out for the temperature not to rise over 135 C, while enjoying the herb smell coming out of the oven. - After 40 minutes, take it out of the oven. Flowers will get nicely dried and at this point you can even grind it more- if you wish.
Grinding flowers will break the trichomes off the material (small glitter on top of the flowers and sugar leaves) and will allow a better infusion. - Put the flowers in the pot and add water and vegan butter. For the best infusion you can use coconut butter, I didn't have it this time so I use margarine.
Place the pot on the lowest heat and simmer it for 4-6 hours (longer you cook it, better it infuses) and stir it occasionally. For the best results use a slow cooker or a cannabutter machine (yes, that does exist).
- Filter it through an iron sieve and again through the cheese cloth, into a container.
Squeeze the cheese cloth to get out all the butter. Place the container in the fridge for a few hours, that the butter separates from the water.
- When the butter is formed, take it out of the container. I usually don't use the excess water, because trichomes do not dissolve in water and they are all extracted in the butter.

@blackberryskunk! I sent you a slice of $PIZZA on behalf of @seckorama.
Did you know you can earn $VFT through the PIZZA farm? (1/10)
Thank you 😌
I will sure tell all about it 😊💚
A very nice one. How did you come across the idea
I'm growing hemp this year and we are slowly coming to the time of harvesting, so I picked up a few flowers to and infused it in butter to check out the effects. 🙂😊
Hope it didn't make you high
It didn't as I used CBD plants and the effects of it are way different than with THC.
It did made me balanced, calm and focused. 😌☺️
Your butter looks amazing! What is the fat in Vegan butter? I have been using Coconut Oil more these days.
I used margarine this time as I were out of coconut, but coconut oil is for sure the best for the infusion! 💚
I used margin once, and that stuff wa so potent!
I told @thelogicaldude about my canna butter experience the other day. It was hilarious, but not repeatable, and I've never had it since. I did learn a lot though. Gulp. @riverflows

Nice 🙂 cannabis is a strong spirit, although eating CBD butter is a totally different than THC but still potent! 🙃
Actually you can always do the reverse and just use a concentrate like CBD oil in some melted butter and stir and it's infused....
Yes I love that!
We are slowly coming to the time of harvesting the hemp and I was curious about the effects of it so I made a small batch of butter. 😊😃
Nothing's better than fresh herbs!!!
Wow how interesting! This use would never have occurred to me. Here in Venezuela it is not used (it is illegal) but I have read about its therapeutic properties! really thanks for sharing
Sorry to hear that... THC is also illegal here, but for many it doesn't keep us from growing it, but CBD is legal to grow under the regulations that doesn't make it really easy to come up with a potent and beautiful flowers.
It's a beautiful flower and it changed many peoples lives to better.
This is the best plant we can have in garden 👌👌👌👌 lot not get it.... it have over 50 000 different uses 👌👌👌👌🍯
Its the real blessing 💚
